The SPD loses its initial popularity boost at the start of the 2025 election year, as reported by “Bild am Sonntag” based on the “Sunday Trend” of the Insa Institute.
If the Bundestag election were to take place this coming Sunday, the Social Democrats would come in at 16 percent, losing a percentage point compared to the previous week. In contrast, the Greens would gain a percentage point, reaching 13 percent. The Union remains in first place with 31 percent.
The AfD stagnates at 20 percent in the Sunday Trend, while the FDP remains at four percent. The BSW holds steady at seven percent, and the Left Party at three percent.
For the Insa Sunday Trend commissioned by “Bild” magazine, a total of 1,201 citizens were surveyed from December 30, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
