German Party Polls Show Slight Shift in Voter Support

A recent survey by INSA for Bild am Sonntag shows a slight decline in the popularity of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). According to the latest “Sunday Trend”, the SPD has lost one percentage point, now standing at 16 percent, compared to the previous week.

The Greens, on the other hand, have gained one percentage point, reaching 13 percent. The Christian Union (CDU/CSU) remains the strongest force, holding steady at 31 percent.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) has maintained its stable 20 percent, while the Left Party and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) are struggling, with the former at 3 percent and the latter at 4 percent, a result that would exclude them from the Bundestag.

A recent survey by the GMS Institute, published last Friday, had the Left-Wing Bloc (BSW) falling short of the 5 percent threshold, with the party polling at 4 percent, a two percentage point decline from the previous month’s survey.
