Green party leader Felix Banaszak expressed surprise at the CSU’s proposal on migration policy.
“It’s astonishing in what tempo the CSU is distancing itself from its own conservative heritage” Banaszak told the Funke Media Group’s Saturday editions. “Konrad Adenauer and Helmut Kohl still fought for an Europe where there are open borders between Germany and France. Markus Söder wants to tear all that apart out of a populist whim” the Green party leader said.
