Six German Cyclists Left for Dead on Mallorca after Devastating Crash!

A road accident on the Spanish island of Mallorca has left six members of the German national track cycling team injured. “The six athletes, Benjamin Boos, Tobias Buck-Gramcko, Bruno Kessler (all REMBE), Moritz Augenstein (RSC Ellmendingen), Louis Gentzik (SSV Gera) and Max-David Briese, came to a hard stop and had to be taken to the hospital for medical treatment”the German Cycling Federation announced on Monday.

However, there was no immediate danger to their lives, as the direct medical care on the scene and subsequent treatment have shown, according to the federation. “But numerous fractures now mean that some will have a long break from training and competition”it added.

“The driver, who is believed to be 89 years old, had apparently not seen the group and drove straight into them. National coach Lucas Schädlich, who was accompanying the group in his car, witnessed the accident”the German Cycling Federation reported.
