Two teenagers have died in Berlin-Schlachtensee while engaging in so-called S-Bahn surfing. The two 17 and 18-year-old youths were reportedly on the roof of an S-Bahn train on line S1 heading towards Wannsee at around 5:20 am on Sunday morning, according to police. Approximately 300 meters behind the Schlachtensee S-Bahn station, they collided with a signal bridge. The recovery and investigation efforts led to significant traffic disruptions. The S-Bahn service was completely interrupted in both directions for several hours and buses and road traffic were also affected.
