Stephan Kramer, the President of Thuringia’s Constitutional Protection, has warned about the dangers of the Reichsbürgerszene following the ban of the “Kingdom of Germany” by Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU). In an interview with the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland” (Wednesday editions), Kramer stated, “The Reichsbürgerszene is increasingly becoming a dangerous parallel world that rejects the rule of law and denies the existence of the Federal Republic.”
He further explained, “In many cases, this rejection manifests itself in threats, coercion and acts of violence against state officials, up to and including the refusal to pay legitimate taxes and fees.” Kramer continued, “Here, only consistent state action and the enforcement of the rule of law can help.”
He praised Dobrindt’s actions, saying, “I welcome the ban and the executive measures against the Kingdom of Germany” he told the RND. “This is an important signal of the rule of law against the entire Reichsbürgerszene, which has been engaging in sect-like activities for far too long and unfortunately continues to grow.” Additionally, raids had taken place in Thuringia on Tuesday.
