Record-Breaking Rhetoric in the German Bundestag!

According to a recent statistics published by the German Bundestag, Ralph Lenkert, a member of the Thuringian state parliament, has spoken more often in the Bundestag plenary hall than any other parliamentarian, with a total of 120 speeches in the current legislative period.

Robert Farle, a fraktionslos member from Saxony-Anhalt, took the second spot with 118 speeches, having previously been a member of the AfD faction. Helge Lindh, Volker Ullrich, and three other parliamentarians tied for the third spot, each having delivered 107 speeches.

Nina Scheer, Clara Bünger, and several other parliamentarians followed, with the number of speeches ranging from 89 to 73. A total of 34 out of the 733 members of the Bundestag did not deliver any speeches in the plenary hall during the current legislative period, according to the statistics. This includes the Bundestag president, who regularly presides over plenary sessions, as well as some cabinet members and parliamentary state secretaries who did not speak in the plenary hall.
