Ramaj Rejoins Heidenheim on Loan

1. FC Heidenheim has secured the loan of goalkeeper Diant Ramaj from Borussia Dortmund for a one-year period, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday. The 23-year-old is returning to the club where he began his development, having previously played for Heidenheim’s U19 and professional squads between 2018 and 2021.

Ramaj’s arrival is intended to fill the vacancy left by Frank Feller, who is sidelined due to a significant injury expected to keep him out for several months. Holger Sanwald, the club’s CEO, emphasized Heidenheim’s familiarity with the Stuttgart native, highlighting his international experience. Ramaj most recently had a loan spell with FC Copenhagen, where he contributed to the team’s double victory.

“I am very much looking forward to returning to Heidenheim” Ramaj commented. His stated goal is to assist the team in securing league survival. Ramaj remains under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2029 and previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt and Ajax Amsterdam.
