Volkswagen’s CEO Oliver Blume has set a new corporate goal, as revealed in an internal document, with a focus on the company’s financial robustness. This goal is outlined in the company’s new Top-10 program, a strategic guideline reported by “Business Insider”.
According to the document, Blume justified the new priority by stating, “Our goal is to enable long-term profitability for the Volkswagen Group by investing in new projects.” The CEO also announced a stronger focus on the Chinese and US markets.
In the internal memo, Blume also announced the launch of new vehicles, stating, “By 2025, we will bring 30 new vehicles to the market across all brands, the most of any manufacturer.” The company has also marked a milestone in the development of electric mobility with the start of production at its first in-house battery factory in Salzgitter.
