Borussia Mönchengladbach has confirmed the departure of Alassane Pléa, ending a seven-year tenure with the Bundesliga club. The French forward will move to the Dutch Eredivisie to join PSV Eindhoven.
The announcement was made by the club on Thursday, with Sporting Director Roland Virkus stating that Pléa expressed a desire to pursue a fresh sporting challenge and secure a long-term contract. The club has facilitated this move, acknowledging his wish.
Pléa initially joined Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2018, transferring from French side OGC Nice. During his time at the club, he established himself as a key attacking player, contributing significantly to the team’s performance. Across 236 competitive matches, Pléa netted 68 goals and provided 53 assists.
