McLaren’s Oscar Piastri secures pole position for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix
McLaren driver Oscar Piastri made a triumphant start to the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix on Sunday, securing the pole position after setting the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday. Piastri beat Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ George Russell to the top spot.
The remaining Q3 starting positions are as follows: Lando Norris (McLaren), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Carlos Sainz Jr., Alex Albon (both Williams), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) and Pierre Gasly (Alpine).
The only German driver, Nico Hülkenberg (Sauber), will start from position 17.
