VfL Bochum Extends Contract with Young Midfielder Mats Pannewig
The German football club VfL Bochum has announced the early extension of its contract with 20-year-old midfielder Mats Pannewig. The agreement, signed on Wednesday, will keep the young player with the Bundesliga side until June 30, 2028. In the previous season, Pannewig made 14 appearances for the team.
According to VfL Bochum’s sporting director, Dirk Dufner, the club is delighted to have Pannewig on board for the future. The organization sees great potential in the young player and aims to nurture him, gradually giving him a more significant role in the team.
Pannewig himself expressed his joy, stating that he had already achieved a childhood dream by becoming a professional for the club where he had previously played in the youth team. He now aims to establish himself as a regular starter and take on more responsibility.
