Nvidia's Earnings: The Last Hope for a Bull Run?

US stock markets largely posted losses on Monday. The Dow, calculated at the end of the trading day in New York, was at 43,461, a 0.1% increase compared to the previous trading day.

Minutes earlier, the broader S&P 500 was around 5,985, down 0.5% and the technology-based Nasdaq calculated the Nasdaq 100 at around 21,350, a 1.2% decline.

Investors are likely to watch the Nvidia numbers, to be released after the market close on Wednesday. The company’s stock fluctuated throughout the day, ultimately giving up around 3% in value.

The European common currency was slightly weaker on Monday evening: one euro was worth 1.0465 US dollars and one dollar was available for 0.9556 euros.

Gold was able to profit, with a price of 2,951 US dollars per fine ounce (+0.5%) at the evening close, equivalent to a price of 90.67 euros per gram.

Meanwhile, the oil price rose: a barrel of North Sea Brent was at 74.83 US dollars at Monday evening, 40 cents or 0.5% more than at the close of the previous trading day.
