In a joint statement, the leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Merz and Keir Starmer, respectively, have called for new nuclear talks with Iran in the wake of the US attack on its nuclear facilities in Tehran.
The aim of the negotiations, according to the statement, is to reach an agreement that addresses all concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear program, ensuring that the country never acquires a nuclear weapon and no longer poses a threat to regional security.
The state and government leaders also urged Iran to refrain from taking any further actions that could destabilize the region. They pledged to continue their diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict and prevent its spread, aiming to reduce tensions and ensure a peaceful resolution.
