A German polling institute, Forsa, has denied claims made by the BSW’s chief, Sahra Wagenknecht, that it intentionally influenced the election results in a negative way for the BSW.
According to a Forsa spokesperson, the institute had previously pointed out to the parties, including the FDP and the BSW, that due to statistical margin of error, both parties had a chance to enter the Bundestag.
The institute is also unaware of any similar accusations made by Wagenknecht against other polling institutes that showed higher support for the BSW in pre-election polls, only to have the party receive lower results in the actual election, as in the cases of Insa’s polls before the state elections in Thuringia and Saxony.
