The German album charts have seen a significant shift this week, with Nina Chuba claiming the coveted number one spot with her new release, “Ich lieb mich, ich lieb mich nicht”. Chuba’s success extends beyond the album, as she also secured eight tracks within the single charts, including “Fucked Up” featuring Makko, “Wenn das Liebe ist” “3 Uhr Nachts” and the rising “Malediven.
Celebrating 20 years as a group, The BossHoss’s album “Back To The Boots” holds the number two position, followed closely by The Donots’ acoustic album, “Schwert aus Holz” at number three. Rapper Azet’s “Playboys im AMG” secures the fourth spot, while heavier sounds resonate from Paradise Lost (“Ascension” at six), Nine Inch Nails’ “Tron: Ares” soundtrack (eight) and Biffy Clyro’s “Futique” (ten). Austrian singer-songwriter Alexander Eder also enters the top ten with his album, “Quer durch die Bank” claiming the ninth position.
Continuing its popularity beyond the summer months, “Golden” by Huntr/X featuring Alex Warren maintains its strong presence at number one in the single charts, matching the record for most weeks at the top. Alex Warren’s long-running hit “Ordinary” sits at number two, just ahead of Pashanim’s “Erstersommerohnedich” at three.
Looking ahead, Oimara’s catchy track “Wackelkontakt” is emerging as a strong contender for the “Wiesn-Hit 2025” rapidly climbing from position fifteen to ten, following its earlier success throughout winter and carnival seasons. New entries in the singles chart include hip-hop acts Lacazette & Bushido with “CCN” (nineteen) and Sosa La M with “Häagen Dazs” (twenty-eight).
The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and are reported to reflect 90% of all music sales in the country.
