New Poll Reveals Shocking Shift in German Politics!

According to a recent survey, the Union has gained in popularity, achieving its best score since the federal election, if a federal election were to take place this Sunday. The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and its Bavarian sister party (CSU) would reportedly receive 28 percent of the vote, a one-point increase from the previous week, according to the “Bild am Sonntag” newspaper, citing the weekly “Sonntagstrend” of the Insa Institute.

The Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Left Party are both reported to have lost one percentage point, while the values of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), the Greens, the Basic Security for All (BSW) and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) remain stable. The remaining parties collectively garnered five percent, a one-point increase.

The survey, conducted by Insa, polled a total of 1,205 people from June 16 to 20, 2025.
