Elon Musk Criticizes UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer Over Grooming Gang Scandal
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has taken to social media to criticize British Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the handling of the Grooming Gang scandal. Musk attacked Starmer’s response to the scandal, saying the Prime Minister was “nationally embarrassing” and that he should resign.
The scandal, which has been ongoing for decades, involves the sexual exploitation of hundreds of young girls in the UK, with many of the perpetrators being of Pakistani origin. Musk accused Starmer of failing to properly investigate and prosecute the cases, and of being complicit in the cover-up of the abuse.
Musk’s criticism comes after it was reported that, in 2008, the Home Office had instructed police not to investigate cases of child sexual exploitation, citing “informed decisions” made by the victims, who were under the age of 18 at the time.
Musk has called on people to read the court transcripts of the cases, saying that the abuse is worse than people can imagine. He has also criticized the British media for their handling of the story, accusing them of being complicit in the cover-up.
Starmer, who was the Director of Public Prosecutions from 2008 to 2013, has yet to release a statement on the matter, with Musk warning that it will be “epic embarrassment” when he does.
Musk’s criticism of Starmer is not the first time he has taken to social media to attack the Prime Minister. He has previously accused Starmer of failing to address the issue of Grooming Gangs and of being complicit in the abuse of young girls.
The controversy has also led to a rift between Musk and Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform UK party, who Musk had previously praised as the “only hope” for the UK. Musk has now called for Farage to be fired over his refusal to support Musk’s stance on the Robinson affair, in which a right-wing activist was arrested for contempt of court.
