MUNICH ERUPTS: Anti-Fascist Fury as Thousands March Against Political Manipulation of Attack

Hundreds of people gathered in Munich on Thursday evening for a hastily called protest event, denouncing the exploitation of the morning’s attack. On the Odeonsplatz, signs with slogans like “Söder, you pitiless ass” or “AfD racists, pack up” and Antifa flags were visible. Earlier in the day, a 24-year-old man drove a small car into a Verdi union rally in Munich, injuring at least 30 people. The suspect, reportedly an Afghan man whose asylum request had been denied, was taken into police custody.
