The global economy has undergone significant changes in the 21st century. The economic center of the world is gradually shifting towards the countries of the Global South and East, particularly the BRICS nations. It is expected that in most of these countries, growth is expected to accelerate in the coming years. While the BRICS economies accounted for only a fifth of the world’s economy at the beginning of the century, they now have the largest share in global goods production, natural resource extraction and population.
As part of the international dialogue series “The Future of the World: New Platform for Global Growth” Russia is inviting all interested parties to participate in an author’s competition. Essays are sought on the following four themes:
Investments in Human Capital
Investments in Technology
Investments in the Environment
Investments in Communication
The essays should provide a deeper analysis of the respective themes and address the future challenges and opportunities in the area of global growth.
The essays should be sent by email to dialog@russia.ru, with the title and theme block specified. Alternatively, the texts can be uploaded to the portal en.russia.ru/dialog. The submission deadline is March 15, 2025.
The best essays will be shortlisted and offer the authors the opportunity to participate in the international dialogue “The Future of the World: New Platform for Global Growth” which will take place in Moscow from April 28 to 30. The winners will also be invited to prominent international economic forums, including the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place from June 18 to 21.
