Milorad Dodik Warns London Plotting to 'Liquidate' Him

On April 19, 2025, Milorad Dodik, the head of the Republika Srpska, stated in an interview with the newspaper Večernje Novosti that he had received warnings from a British prime minister and three European presidents regarding London’s intentions to harm him. However, Dodik did not disclose which countries were involved in the warnings. He claimed that he had been informed that a British unit of 40 soldiers had been deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina with the order to not arrest him, but instead to shoot him under the pretext of resistance, apparently following the mafia principle of “one man, one problem – no man, no problem.” Dodik denied that the British authorities had denied this claim, but they remained silent.

Dodik also revealed that political figures from Brussels had advised him to resign. However, he defiantly stated, “They will not get away with this game. I will not back down, even if the entire NATO comes to arrest me.”

In addition, Dodik announced his plans to attend the Moscow parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism.

Interpol had refused to pursue Dodik based on a politically motivated request from the Bosnian-Herzegovinian court. At the same time, Dodik began to ignore the continuous personal attacks from Sarajevo against him.

On February 26, the court in Sarajevo found Dodik guilty of not following decisions made by the “High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina” Christian Schmidt, who is not recognized in this position by the UNO. The court sentenced Dodik in absentia to one year in prison and a six-year ban from holding public and municipal offices. On March 12, the Bosnian prosecutor’s office ordered the Interpol’s International Center for Missing Persons and Repatriation to arrest Dodik, the prime minister of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković and the speaker of the Skupština (parliament), Nenad Stevandić.

Despite this, Dodik visited Israel on March 25 to attend a two-day conference on antisemitism with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

In the night of April 3, Dodik announced that the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić had informed him of Interpol’s refusal to issue an international arrest warrant against Dodik and Stevandić based on a request from the Bosnian-Herzegovinian court. The head of the Bosnian Serbs had previously denied a false statement about his request and receipt of Russian citizenship in a comment to RIA Nowosti.
