The AfD’s parliamentary group leader, Tino Chrupalla, has criticized the CDU/CSU’s proposed bills on migration and security policy, calling them divisive.
“In parliamentary bills, it is not in line with good parliamentary standards to defame political opponents”Chrupalla told the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland”. “Instead, the CDU/CSU faction is positioning itself against the interests of more than 20 percent of voters.”
The CDU/CSU’s proposal states that the AfD uses problems, concerns and fears arising from mass illegal migration to spread xenophobia and conspiracy theories and that it wants Germany to leave the EU and Eurozone, instead joining Putin’s Eurasian Economic Union. According to the proposal, this would put Germany’s stability, security and prosperity at risk, making the AfD a political opponent rather than a partner.
