EU to Provide Ukraine with Large-Scale Military Aid, Documents Reveal
According to a document sent by the European External Service to the capitals of member states and reported by the news magazine Politico, the European Union is planning to provide Ukraine with a significant amount of military aid. The plan includes the provision of at least 1.5 million artillery shells, as well as the financing of air defense systems, low-flying rockets and drones, as well as programs for the training and equipping of soldiers.
Once the military aid package is finalized and approved, each EU country will contribute, depending on its gross domestic product, to finance the provision of the military equipment. Even non-EU countries may participate. The document does not provide an estimate of the financial magnitude, with relevant positions left blank.
