On Thursday, an incident involving dangerous objects aboard a high-speed ICE train resulted in injuries to several people, according to the Lower Bavaria Police Headquarters.
The train, carrying approximately 500 passengers, was traveling towards Vienna when the incident occurred near Straßkirchen at around 1:55 PM local time. Authorities report that four individuals sustained minor injuries. The perpetrator was apprehended by police officers at the scene.
Fire department, police and emergency medical services are currently on-site with a significant response, alongside emergency managers from Deutsche Bahn. The railway line is presently closed to traffic as investigators secure the area.
