RB Leipzig secured a 2-0 victory at home against Heidenheim in the second matchday of the Bundesliga season.
The encounter saw early opportunities for both sides, with Christoph Baumgartner narrowly missing a chance for Leipzig in the fifth minute following a defensive error by Heidenheim. Shortly after, Heidenheim’s Jan-Niklas Honsak had a promising opportunity but was denied by Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi.
The first half unfolded as a dynamic back-and-forth affair, with both teams creating scoring chances.
