A song originating from an animated Netflix film has reached the summit of the official German Single Charts for the first time. “Golden” performed by Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami as the fictional K-Pop girl group Huntr-x in “KPop Demon Hunters” claimed the number one position, according to data released Friday by GfK Entertainment. The remaining top three positions were secured by Alex Warren with “Ordinary” at number two and Aymen and Sira’s “30 mal am Tag” at number three.
Turning to the Album Charts, Roger Waters, a founding member of Pink Floyd, debuted at number one with his live recording, “Roger Waters: This Is Not A Drill – Live From Prague”. The soundtrack to “KPop Demon Hunters” followed closely behind in second place. Kolja Goldstein’s album, “Kouwe Ouwe” entered the charts at number three.
The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German music industry association, Bundesverband Musikindustrie and reflect 90 percent of all music sales within the country.
