In a recent interview with the “Mannheimer Morgen”, SPD Chair Lars Klingbeil clarified that he has no intention of trading in his party leadership role for another high-ranking political position. When asked if he wouldn’t prefer to be a minister, Klingbeil expressed a sense of satisfaction with his current role, stating that as SPD Chair, he is able to participate in coalition meetings and exert influence at multiple levels.

Although he downplayed the idea of seeking a ministerial position, Klingbeil did not entirely rule out future political ambitions, hinting that he still has plans to shape the political landscape in the future.
