Israel Announces Daily Fighting Lulls in Gaza

The Israeli military announced the implementation of “localized tactical pauses” in military activities within densely populated areas of the Gaza Strip. These pauses, intended to facilitate increased humanitarian aid, will operate daily between 10:00 AM and 20:00 PM local time.

The designated areas for these pauses initially include Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City – regions where the military currently reports no ongoing operations. The arrangement is described as being in effect “until further notice.

Alongside the scheduled pauses, the military is establishing permanent “safe routes” operational between 06:00 AM and 23:00 PM. These routes are specifically designed to ensure secure passage for United Nations and humanitarian aid organization convoys delivering food and medical supplies to the Gazan population.

Following the announcement, reports from Egypt indicated that numerous trucks carrying aid supplies were observed moving towards southern Gaza on Sunday. The decision to implement these measures was reportedly made in coordination with the United Nations and other international organizations.
