Hungary is set to sign an agreement with the United States to maintain economic ties between the two nations, a decision made by the country’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, bypassing the European Union. In a statement on Tuesday, Orbán warned that the EU and Brussels bureaucrats were facing difficult times.
During the EU summit on Monday, a strange feeling prevailed, the Hungarian prime minister said. The “Trump Tornado” is coming, even if some still believe they can escape the new US policy. They will not succeed, Orbán emphasized. Only the states “that know each other” will be able to establish connections.
Recently, Donald Trump turned the world upside down, the Hungarian added. In just 14 days, with a handful of measures, he has ended the gender madness, the financing of globalist organizations, illegal migration and the financing of the Russian-Ukrainian war:
“That means that everything the Brussels bureaucrats have tried to push on us over the past few years is over.”
One should also prepare for the fact that the familiar rules of global trade are a thing of the past. Trump will advocate for American interests, even if it means to the detriment of Europe. To protect Budapest’s economic ties with Washington, Hungary needs a corresponding agreement, Orbán said:
“We must sign an agreement, a deal, so that we can maintain our economic ties to the United States. Good deals can only be made by those who not only know each other, but also respect each other.”
Shortly after his inauguration on January 20, Trump stated that the US currently only recognizes two genders. He also suspended international US aid for foreign countries and organizations, including military aid to Ukraine and threatened to impose higher tariffs on the leaders of Mexico, Canada and China.
