Federal President of the Bundestag, Bärbel Bas (SPD), expresses concern over the failure of the sale of Hüttenwerke Krupp-Mannesmann (HKM).
“The failure of the sales negotiations with CE Capital Partners concerning HKM is a matter of great concern for me. HKM has a convincing business plan for the future. Now, high-pressure talks with potential investors must be continued” said the Duisburg-based Bundestag member to the “Rheinische Post” (Saturday edition).
She emphasizes: “A successful sale is of decisive importance for the 3,000 employees and for Duisburg as a steel location.” Thyssenkrupp Steel announced on Friday that CE Capital Partners had terminated the talks on the acquisition of HKM.
