German Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) has expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached by the Bundestag factions on the energy law. “The agreement on the energy law package in the Bundestag is important for the energy transition and the better integration of renewables into the grid – renewables are now grown up”he said on Monday.
Habeck acknowledged, “We would have wished for more and there was more on the table, yet the package secures important achievements of this legislative period in the field of renewable energy. The found consensus underlines the decision-making capacity and the timely further engagement for climate protection, which is so important after the US election.”
The Greens’ chancellor candidate added, “The agreement on the ERP economic planning law is also important, so that the KfW can support the economy with low-interest loans.
