A leading figure in the Green Youth, Jette Nietzard, has sharply criticized the CDU’s chairman, Friedrich Merz, in a guest article for the Watson news portal.
Nietzard expressed her disapproval of Merz, stating that it is unacceptable for someone who voted in favor of making spousal rape a non-criminal offense to lead the country. She also criticized the CDU, CSU and SPD for their plans regarding the mothers’ pension, saying, “The only concrete proposal for improving the living situation of women is the introduction of a mothers’ pension. We are only of value if we have served reproduction.”
Nietzard was not surprised by the development and she also made a comment about former Chancellor Angela Merkel, saying, “For over 50 years, we have been fighting for the abolition of Paragraph 218 and we have learned that even a federal chancellor has not made a difference in the fight for women’s rights.”
In her guest article, the Green Youth chairperson called for targeted action against male-dominated structures, stating, “Men must have their privileges taken away. A new generation of feminists has no respect for men simply because they are men, but rather if they demonstrate a value for society and relationships.
