Borussia Mönchengladbach has extended the contract of attacking player Franck Honorat, securing his commitment to the club until June 30, 2029. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Bundesliga side.
Sports director Roland Virkus lauded Honorat, 28, as “an important pillar” of the team and recognized him as “one of the league’s top assist providers”. He emphasized the player’s vital contribution to the squad’s performance.
Honorat expressed his delight with the contract extension, citing a strong sense of belonging and appreciation for the loyalty and respect he’s experienced within the club. Reflecting on his time in Mönchengladbach so far, the Frenchman acknowledged a period of settling in and stated his desire to now contribute consistently and confidently to the team’s success.
The offensive player joined Mönchengladbach in 2023 and quickly established himself as a regular starter. He was instrumental in the team’s attacking efforts during the recently concluded season, contributing nine assists.
