German Green party leader Robert Habeck declined to express support for or opposition to the deployment of German soldiers to Ukraine to secure a potential peace, stating that the issue is currently not on the agenda. In a response to a query by “Bild” (Wednesday edition), he said he was not prepared to comment on German peacekeeping troops in Ukraine.

At the same time, he emphasized that it is “completely clear” that Germany will not send its soldiers to war. “The Russian attack on Ukraine must end, that’s what’s at stake now” Habeck stated.
