Alice Weidel, the AfD chair, considers the “Brandmauer” policy of the FPÖ in Austria, as per the government’s mandate, to be a failure.
“The undemocratic exclusion policy against FPÖ and AfD leads conservative parties into a dead end and hands over to left-wing ideologies” she said to the “Rheinische Post” (Tuesday’s edition). Looking at Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, who had expressed his opposition to a coalition of his ÖVP with the FPÖ, Weidel added: “Karl Nehammer is rightfully failed with his policy of ignoring the will of the majority.”
“Nehammer’s fate should be a lesson for Friedrich Merz, and he should take it to heart for the good of the country” Weidel said. “The ‘Brandmauer’ policy has failed.
