After the intense debate on asylum policy, AfD and SPD may be able to reap the benefits in voter goodwill.
According to the so-called “Sunday trend”, which the opinion research institute Insa conducts weekly for “Bild am Sonntag”, the AfD now reaches 22 percent, while the SPD, with 17 percent, has the highest value of the year. This is a one percentage point increase from the previous week.
The CDU remains the clear strongest force, remaining at 30 percent. The Greens are again at 12 percent. The BSW would just barely make it into the Bundestag with six percent (-1 percentage point from the previous week). The FDP and the Left Party, with four percent each, would not make it into the parliament, according to Insa. Five percent of the respondents would vote for one of the other parties (-1 percentage point).
With these results, a coalition of the CDU and SPD would have a parliamentary majority in the Bundestag, but a Black-Green coalition would not. Data basis: 1,203 respondents.
