German Pop Star Sarah Connor Tops Official Album Charts
The GfK announced on Friday that Sarah Connor, a popular German pop singer, has taken the top spot on the official German album charts with her new album “Freigeistin”. The album debuted at number one, marking a significant achievement for the artist. Unantastbar, a punk band from South Tyrol, made a strong entry with “Für immer wir”, securing the second position.
Billie Eilish, a renowned US pop star, improved her ranking with “Hit Me Hard And Soft”, moving up from the ninth to the third spot.
In the single charts, Pashanim and Ceren successfully defended their lead with “Shabab(e)s im VIP”, while Alex Warren, a US musician, claimed the silver position. Apache 207, a German rapper, made a notable entry with “Morgen”, landing at number three.
The official German charts, compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association, account for approximately 90 percent of all music sales.
