Fuel prices in Germany experienced a slight decrease at the end of July, according to the latest analysis released by the ADAC automotive club on Wednesday.
The average price for a liter of Super E10 gasoline nationwide stood at €1.668 on Tuesday, a reduction of 0.5 cents compared to the previous week. Diesel prices also fell, averaging €1.615 per liter, down 0.8 cents.
Despite this downward trend at the pump, the price of crude oil saw a minor increase during the same period. Brent crude oil futures were trading around $72 per barrel, approximately $3 higher than the previous week. The Euro also weakened, fluctuating just above $1.15, a lower value than registered a week earlier.
Despite these less favorable underlying market dynamics, the ADAC deemed the current gasoline price as reasonable. However, the club maintained its assessment that diesel remains significantly overpriced.
