FUEL SURPRISE: Prices Plummet Before the Holiday!

German fuel prices have recently seen a decline, with the national average price of Super E10 and diesel fuel dropping to new annual lows. According to the ADAC, the average price of a liter of Super E10 stood at 1.671 euros on Tuesday, a decrease of 1.1 cents from the previous week. Diesel prices, meanwhile, fell by 1.6 cents to an average of 1.548 euros per liter.

The prices of both fuels have reached new annual lows, with a slight decrease in the cost of Brent crude oil, which currently stands at around 64 US dollars per barrel, a one-dollar decrease from the previous week. The ADAC notes that the future direction of the oil price remains uncertain, given the global political and economic uncertainties. However, an increase in oil production by OPEC+ over the weekend could potentially put further downward pressure on the price.

In light of the declining oil price and the stronger euro exchange rate, the ADAC suggests that the price drop for both fuels could have been even more pronounced.
