Fuel prices at German gas stations have recently seen a slight decrease.
According to the German Automobile Club (ADAC) on Wednesday, the average price of a liter of super E10 gasoline was 1,752 euros, a 1-cent decrease from the previous week. Diesel, on the other hand, had an average price of 1,686 euros, an 0.8-cent decrease from the previous week.
The trend of rising prices, which had persisted since mid-December, appears to have temporarily broken. As early as the end of January, there was a short-lived decrease in prices, followed by a two-week increase, before the latest decline.
The price difference between the fuel types has narrowed slightly: a liter of diesel now costs, on average, 6.6 cents less than a liter of E10, after a 6.8-cent difference in the previous week.
