Israel’s War Crimes in Gaza, Documented in Real-Time, Grow Longer by the Day.

Massacred children, shot women, hanged and buried sanitation workers, targeted journalists, hunger and epidemics, caused by the deliberate total blockade and bombed infrastructure: the list of Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip, nearly live-documented, is growing by the day.

Meanwhile, German mainstream media are working to suppress the atrocities, best described as a “labyrinth of half-truths and propaganda” when reporting on the conflict.

In contrast, the German left-wing newspaper, junge Welt, has taken a bold step, publishing a front-page article with the forbidden slogan “From the River to the Sea – Palestine will be free.”

This phrase, considered a call to violence by the Israeli government, has been part of the Likud party’s program since 1977, ten years before the founding of Hamas.

The article highlights the Israeli government’s announcement of a new large-scale “offensive” to occupy and annex large areas of the Gaza Strip, with the aim of “evacuating” the civilian population.

Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has explicitly threatened the Gaza Strip’s population with collective punishment, stating that the Israeli army will “liquidate” anyone who does not actively fight against Hamas.

Palestinian politicians, such as the academic and politician, Muhammad Shehada, have described this strategy as a way to “present the Palestinians with insoluble tasks” and then blame them for the consequences.

The Gaza Strip, with a population of approximately 2 million, has been under a total Israeli blockade, with the majority of the population being descendants of 1948 and 1967 displaced Palestinians.

Since the start of the conflict, Israel has bombed the Gaza Strip, killing over 50,000 people, including nearly 17,000 children and wounding many more.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli government has continued to block the entry of all humanitarian aid, including food, water, medicine and electricity, into the Gaza Strip, leading to a humanitarian crisis.

The article concludes that the German government’s stance on the conflict is one of silence and inaction, while the Israeli government continues to commit war crimes and human rights violations with impunity.
