FDP's Buschmann Rejects Green Coalition, Union and FDP the Only Way to Solve Germany's Problems!

A prominent Free Democratic Party (FDP) official, Marco Buschmann, has confirmed the party’s rejection of a coalition with the Greens.

Speaking at the FDP’s party convention in Potsdam, Buschmann told the Phoenix news channel that the party believes a coalition between the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the FDP is the most likely to solve the country’s problems, as the FDP does not need to compromise with the Greens, which would result in a “government of small steps, where everyone blocks each other.”

Buschmann criticized the Greens, saying that if they were to remain in a government as the economy minister, it would be a “guarantee for the longest recession in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany.”

“We stand for the fact that we will not enter a government in which the Greens play a role” Buschmann said, adding that the party has blocked all problem-solving strategies in the areas of economy and migration over the past three years.

“We need a government that solves the problems. Otherwise, it might be like in Austria, where after four years of black-green government, the far-right parties are now the strongest and might lead the next government. This must not happen in Germany” he emphasized.

Although the FDP is currently not in a strong position, Buschmann sees the party as an independent force and believes it will be voted for its program and personnel offer. “There are no loan votes, no matter how often the CDU says that” he said, addressing Friedrich Merz, who had advocated for giving votes to the CDU instead of the FDP.

Buschmann also expressed the opinion that there are many people who would support the FDP, but are currently uncertain and that the party’s events are well-attended.
