A false alarm was triggered at a vocational school centre in Riesa, prompting a police response. According to a police spokesperson, the police searched six buildings on the campus after being alerted at around 12:25 in the Saxon town of Riesa. However, the officers were able to give the all-clear shortly after, as no danger was found to exist.
Students and teachers, as reported, had locked themselves in the classrooms until the all-clear was given.
Subsequently, they were escorted out of the buildings by teachers, with rescue and emergency services providing assistance as needed. The operation concluded by 16:40 hours. The identity of the person who triggered the alarm remains unclear.
