The head of the Economic Council, Monika Schnitzer, rejects harmonizing the mother’s pension.

“The CSU’s demand for an increase in the mother’s pension for children born before 1992 seems to be a relic of the past” Schnitzer told the “Rheinische Post” (Tuesday’s edition). “Given the demographic development and the need for budget consolidation, a pension reform is urgently needed, limiting pension claims, not expanding them. Only in this way can we ensure that investments are made in the future of the children being born today.
