Augsburg Football Club Announces New Direction in Coaching Leadership
The German Bundesliga team, FC Augsburg, has made a significant change in its coaching leadership ahead of the new season. The club has decided to end its collaboration with head coach Jess Thorup, a decision that was not taken lightly, according to the club’s management.
In a statement, the club’s executive director, Michael Ströll, explained that after thorough analysis and trustful discussions, it was deemed necessary to make a change in the head coach position for the team’s further development and alignment. The club will inform the public of its decision regarding the new head coach once a decision is made, with Sandro Wagner being a likely candidate for the role.
In addition to the departure of Thorup, the club will also be parting ways with its sports director, Marinko Jurendic. The move is seen as a significant shift in the team’s sporting direction and the club’s management is expected to provide further updates on its plans in the coming days.
