The fifth round of 2. Bundesliga action concluded on Sunday with a 2-2 draw between SV 07 Elversberg and Dynamo Dresden.

The match began with a flurry of activity; Christoph Daferner put the visitors ahead after just three minutes following a counter-attack. However, the home side quickly responded six minutes later, with Younes Ebnoutalib converting a free kick to level the score. A series of scoring opportunities followed for both teams, culminating in Jakob Lemmer’s goal in the 39th minute, giving Dresden a second lead.

After the interval, Dynamo initially adopted a more passive approach, while Elversberg pressed for an equalizer. Despite spirited defensive efforts from Dresden, Ebnoutalib secured a late goal in the 90th minute, resulting in a deserved draw.

The result sees SV 07 Elversberg drop to fifth place in the standings, while Dynamo Dresden remain in 15th position. Elversberg will travel to Braunschweig next Saturday, while Dynamo faces Hannover the following day.
