A Swiss television channel, ZDF, published the final “Politbarometer” before the German federal election on Sunday. According to the survey, the CDU/CSU currently stands at 28 percent, two points down from last week, yet still the clear strongest force.
The SPD remains unchanged at 16 percent, the Greens also at 14 percent. The FDP has improved by half a point to 4.5 percent, the Left Party by one point to 8 percent. The AfD has also gained a point, now at 21 percent, the BSW by half a point to 4.5 percent and all other parties together at 4 percent, a one-point decrease.
The “Politbarometer” of the Forschungsgruppe Wahlen is considered particularly reliable, as it often had the smallest gaps to the actual election results in the past at the state and federal level.
