A fatal traffic collision occurred Saturday midday on the K505 road near Nordstemmen, claiming the life of a 75-year-old female driver. According to police reports released this evening, the incident took place around 11:55 AM when a 35-year-old male driver veered into the oncoming lane and collided with the vehicle driven by the senior citizen.
The 75-year-old woman sustained injuries incompatible with life and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 35-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the collision and have not yet determined the exact cause.
