Leverkusen Appoints Erik ten Hag as New Head Coach

German football club Bayer Leverkusen has announced the appointment of Erik ten Hag as its new head coach, effective July 1, 2025, with a contract expiring on June 30, 2027. The 55-year-old Dutch coach, who previously managed Manchester United in the Premier League, will begin preparations for the 2025/26 season with the Werkself.

According to the club’s statement, ten Hag has an impressive track record, having won six titles with Ajax Amsterdam. Simon Rolfes, the club’s Sport-Geschäftsführer, praised the new coach, saying, “We’re bringing in an experienced trainer with impressive sporting achievements.”
