Diesel Prices Drop Gasoline Holds Steady

Recent analysis from the German Automobile Club (ADAC) indicates a decrease in diesel prices across Germany compared to the previous week. The average price for a liter of diesel now stands at €1.605, a one-cent reduction.

Meanwhile, gasoline prices remain stable; a liter of Super E10 continues to cost €1.668. This stability contrasts with a significant decline in the price of crude oil. Brent crude, which traded above $72 per barrel last week, has fallen approximately $4 to around $68 per barrel. According to ADAC, the lower oil price should have resulted in a corresponding drop in gasoline prices as well.

ADAC’s assessment suggests that diesel prices are disproportionately high, with the price difference between diesel and Super E10 currently only at 6.3 cents.
